Chiranjeevi officially joins the Congress Party

Actor-turned-politician K chiranjeevi is now a member of Congress party and the Praja Rajyam Party that he founded is dead.
Hailing All India Congress Committee general secretary Rahul Gandhi as the `ray of hope’ and future prime minister, chiranjeevi on Saturday formally joined the Congress party. At AICC headquarters in New Delhi, chiranjeevi filled up a form seeking primary membership of the Congress in the presence of Gandhi and senior leaders.
"I will remain in the Congress for the rest of my life. I will be a loyal worker...I thank Rahulji, our Prime Minister in the future," the actor said. chiranjeevi also described Rahul Gandhi as the `future’ and the `ray of hope’ for the country.
Apart from Rahul Gandhi, Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Petroleum Minister S Jaipal Reddy, AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi and political secretary to Congress president Ahmad Patel were present on the occasion.
Praja Rajyam, which was launched in August 2008, has 18 MLAs in the 294-member AP Assembly. chiranjeevi is believed to have influence in coastal Andhra, especially among Kapus. The Praja Rajyam Party will be merged with the Congress on 22nd August, on the occasion of chiranjeevi's birthday.

Why Sonia Gandhi House is not raided?

With the Central Bureau of Investigation going deep into the allegations of illegal investments into the companies of YSR Congress party president Y S Jagamohan Reddy, the party is making all out efforts to counter these corruption charges against him.

While pro-Jagan Congress MPs and MLAs, besides party leaders like Ambati Rambabu are effectively using the debates in the electronic media to voice their concern over his witch-hunting, his otherwise silent mother Y S Vijayalakshmi used the mother sentiment to hit back at his rivals in the Congress party.

She wrote a letter to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Saturday, making a scathing attack on the Centre and the Congress party for the political vendetta against Jagan.

“It is evident that the CBI raids are politically motivated. You have attributed corruption charges even against Anna Hazare; it shows that whoever is against the Congress will be subject to harassment,” she said.

Vijayamma wondered why the CBI had not raided the houses of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi while probing the Bofors case; and that of former chief minister of Maharashtra in Adarsh scam? And why did the CBI not act with such seriousness and arrested Botsa Satyanarayana in connection with Volkswagen scam?” she asked.

CBI files FIR - Jagan to be Arrested?

the central bureau of investigation on Wednesday filed a First Information Report (FIR) against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the illegal assets case. The CBI has initiated the inquiry following an order from the High Court.
CBI's joint director VV Lakshmi Narayana earlier held discussions with the local authorities. Based on separate petitions filed by Textile Minister Dr. P. Shankar Rao and TDP leader K. Yerran Naidu, the AP High Court had ordered the CBI to probe the alleged illegal assets that the Kadapa MP had amassed during his father's regime as the Chief Minister.
After the registration of FIR, there are speculations that Jagan Mohan Reddy might be arrested. The political analysts are also doing an analysis of a possible outcome of Jagan's arrests and the CBI case. In all likelihood, Jagan is likely to drag several leaders who were members of YSR cabinet into the controversy. Jagan has already stated that the entire cabinet of YSR must be held responsible for any decision taken during his regime. The ongoing week is likely to be full of action with the possibilities of CBI arresting Jagan Mohan Reddy or conducted search in his premises at a large scale.

Why Chiru is not successful in politics

Recently, an analysis was done on why Chiru is not successful in politics and here is a classic example for that. It is heard that during shooting of ‘Indra’, the location was Kuppam in Chittoor district. The locals cooperated very wonderfully for the shooting of the film.
Even Chiru spoke greatly about them during the 100 days function of the film. Apparently, he told them during shooting “You should come to my home when you are in Hyderabad. If not, I will come to your home and take you.” The naïve locals trusted Chiru assuming what he talked is true and were all excited.
After 2-3 months of the film’s release, a group of them took appointment and came in a lorry to Hyderabad with fruits, vegetables and full organic stuff since they knew that Chiru likes such organic food. They were asked to come at 4.30 pm. When they arrived, it is heard that a servant came to the main gate.
He said (not even asking them to come in), “Sir had to go out on an urgent call, he was here till now. Anyways, he wanted to know what the matter is.”
Those who came were not normal people, they were very respectful elders in the village with good background. They realized what the scene was and got hurt badly. However, they just managed to say “Nothing special. We know your sir likes this type of food. So we just brought it from our village for him.”
The servant asked them to download the things they brought into the kitchen.
They did that and returned back with a heavy heart.
The analysts say “If this was his behavior, how he will succeed in politics? To be a real life leader, cinema dialogues are not sufficient, an individual must be able to mix freely and welcome people. He should be there when they need him. But Chiru has none of those qualities and the results can be seen clearly.”
