The news circles have been buzzing big time with the news that Mahesh Babu is going to do Khaidi remake under Puri Jagannadh direction. Ram Gopal Varma is the first person to break this news. But due to his track record, the authenticity of this news has been questioned.
 Finally, Puri Jagannadh broke the ice by stating that he and Mahesh Babu are in plans to remake Khaidi. He stated that they thought about it three years back as they both love Chiranjeevi. Puri also said that Khaidi is their favorite film.
